Oggun is a primordial oisha gifted with the ability to kill, destroy, bring life, and filled with creativity; having the dark side of a bad temper which when carried away by rage indiscriminately affects all. Ogun is respected as the Yoruba orisha that clears obstacle in the way of spiritual growth. So some associated him with the Kemetic Horus or Heru Behutet.
